Credits

The digital exhibition "The Transformation of Places of Extermination: Maly Trascjanec from 1941 to the Present" was developed within the framework of the seminar "Extermination site Maly Trascjanec. From the exploration to the presentation of violent sites of the Shoah and the war of extermination" under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Christoph Rass (University of Osnabrück) and with the support of Aliaksander Dalhouski (Minsk History Workshop).

The contents of the exhibition pages were developed by Peter Kamp, Tatjana Rykov, Rukia Soubbotina and Charlotte Vöhl. In detail:

  • Peter Kamp dealt with the points "The study of transformation processes", "Spaces and phases of transformation at Maly Trascjanec", "From the collective farm to the SD camp", "Blahaǔščyna execution site" and "Maly Trascjanec between 1944 and today".
  • Tatjana Rykov dealt with the introduction and the points "The 'final' destruction of evidence", "The investigation by the ČGK", "The emergence of a culture of remembrance" and the interactive map.
  • Rukia Soubbotina dealt with the points "Maly Trascjanec between 1941 and 1944", "Aktion 1005'", "Šaškoŭka" and the interactive map.
  • Charlotte Vöhl dealt with the points "Historical “Spaces”", "From the SD camp to the collective farm", "Growing need for remembrance" and "The creation of the memorial".
